Alia Bastamam is a Malaysian fashion house shaping a modern language of femininity - fluid, self-assured, and designed with intent.

Founded in 2010, the brand is known for its refined silhouettes and an instinctive understanding of how women move, dress, and occupy space. The clothes are expressive without excess, sensual without being literal, and designed to feel as considered as they look.

Rooted in Southeast Asia yet globally attuned, Alia Bastamam draws from culture, craft, and contemporary life. Each collection reflects a balance of form and freedom,  where design serves the woman, not the other way around.

The house comprises three distinct lines, each expressing a different dimension of the brand’s evolving sensibility:

The main line, offering elevated ready-to-wear with a resortwear focus - fluid silhouettes, polished ease, and modern femininity.

Alia Bastamam Bridal & Atelier
The bespoke arm of the house, specialising in made-to-measure bridalwear and demi-couture, defined by precision, individuality, and craftsmanship.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Alia Bastamam is among Malaysia’s most prominent female designers, known for shaping a distinctly modern approach to regional luxury.

Originally trained in architecture, her understanding of structure, proportion, and form continues to inform her design language. This foundation lends clarity and intention to her work - seen in silhouettes that feel fluid yet controlled, expressive yet grounded.

A graduate of Raffles College of Design Kuala Lumpur, Alia co-founded her eponymous label in 2011, steadily building it into a fashion house recognised for its point of view and relevance across the region. Her work reflects an intuitive understanding of women - how they move, how they feel, and how they choose to express themselves through what they wear.

Designing with instinct rather than spectacle, Alia approaches fashion as a dialogue between form and presence. The result is clothing that feels assured, personal, and unmistakably hers.
